AmosConnect™ from Stratos
AmosConnect from Stratos is the maritime e-mail standard, integrating email, fax, SMS, telex and your onboard ship management applications into a single messaging system. AmosConnect has been successfully deployed on more than 10,000 seagoing vessels over the past 15 years, and we are constantly adapting it to meet the evolving requirements of maritime companies. As the system is already fitted on so many vessels, more than 100,000 officers and crewmembers are already familiar with the software. AmosConnect gives you total control over all your e-mail traffic and costs via a user-friendly online management tool.
AmosConnect Crew from Stratos
Maintaining contact with family and friends onshore is essential for crew satisfaction while at sea. Stratos has developed a variety of easy, economical services for your crew, including Stratos ChatCard , the reloadable calling card for voice calls, and AmosConnect Crew from Stratos for e-mail and SMS messages.

FleetBroadband's enhanced communication capabilities, including simultaneous voice and broadband data, will offer unprecedented connectivity between vessels and the shore.
OceanVSAT™ from Stratos
OceanVSAT from Stratos is a maritime broadband service, especially designed for vessels and fleets that need global coverage and 24/7 always-on broadband connectivity. The service is based on Intelsat’s Network Broadband Global Maritime Service, providing seamless coverage from one ocean region to another.
StratosOceanView™
Stratos OceanView is a powerful application for fleet managers that allows them to manage their fleet in an easy-to-use web-based portal. It provides customers with global fleet communication monitoring and vessel tracking based on Inmarsat-C DNID.
Fleet from Stratos
Fleet from Stratos enables you to exchange large data volumes at high speed (ISDN and packet data mode). Moreover, it offers a cost-effective, always-on connection for email, intranet or Internet access to maritime websites (navigation, weather, security, piracy, ports, etc.)
Inmarsat Satellite Phone Services
The new Inmarsat Satellite Phone Services offer high quality voice and data at 2.4 kbps via small and affordable equipment and attractive postpaid and prepaid calling rates. ISPS has three key variants for portable, fixed-land and marine usage, all delivered over the I-4 satellite network.
Iridium® from Stratos
Iridium from Stratos satellite technology is ideal if you need cost-effective voice calling or the ability to transmit small data volumes at low data speeds.
Inmarsat C
Inmarsat C from Stratos is a reliable two-way packet data service using compact, low-cost terminals. Through Stratos, you can access a broad range of Inmarsat C services.
GSM Oceanwide™
GSM Oceanwide is ideally suited as a crew-calling solution, enabling users to receive and place calls and send SMS messages via their own GSM number. The service also provides reliable voice connectivity, enabling ship managers to quickly contact merchant maritime officers.
Broadband Communication
for Seagoing Vessels:
Today voice, data and IP communications are essential to all industries. While seagoing vessels may be far from terrestrial networks they should be able to enjoy the same benefits.
For vital communications at sea, Stratos offers various options. Studies indicate that Inmarsat and Iridium services are the most cost-efficient solutions for the maritime industry’s current narrowband-oriented applications and onboard needs. Inmarsat B (HSD) and Inmarsat Fleet perfectly meet the requirements of 75% of all worldwide operating vessels.
For vessels with high-volume demands and future communication needs, Stratos will have three options available:
- Inmarsat Fleet Broadband (beginning Q4 2007)
- Inmarsat leases
- Maritime VSAT (StratosITek)
Choosing among these options will depend on your expected usage, required data speed, vessel sailing area and total cost of ownership.
StratosITek™
StratosItek is the Stratos’ maritime VSAT solution. StratosITek supports a range of communications needs, including Voice-over-IP, file and database server access, Internet, video conferencing, and e-mail—at a fixed monthly price. The system uses iDirect Technologies' broadband IP solution. It is ideal for cruise, ferry, seismic, drilling, production, and commercial shipping companies requiring a custom-designed broadband communications network and a fully managed, turn-key service for business-essential communications at sea.
StratosConsole™
StratosConsole is a web-based monitoring system that allows customers to proactively monitor the status of their remote sites 24/7. An enhanced SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) tool, StratosConsole allows clients, from any web browser, to measure, record, and monitor the performance of traffic flowing through various active devices at a remote site. These devices typically include modems, routers, switches, and other terminal equipment. StratosConsole is available globally for all Microwave, VSAT and StratosMax™ services.
