Stratos 2-Stage Access is a fixed-to-mobile voice service that is ideal for keeping an eye on your satellite communication costs. With Stratos 2-Stage Access, accounting is streamlined so that all your calls appear on a single monthly invoice, which simplifies social calls, crew calling, and business accounts.
The service supports fixed-to-mobile (shore-to-ship) voice calling for Inmarsat A, B, M, mini-M, GAN, Fleet, Swift64, BGAN, Iridium and MarineSat/LandSat services from Stratos.
Stratos 2-Stage Access establishes your connection in two stages:
- First, you dial into the Stratos 2-Stage Access platform
- Second, just follow the voice prompts and the Stratos network will make your connection with the addressed mobile
2-Stage Access is a convenient and cost-effective fixed-to-mobile calling service that can be very useful in countries where the local telephone operator cannot access the Inmarsat satellite network, or in places where the service is prohibitively expensive.
In addition, no extra hardware, software or Internet connections are required for Stratos 2-Stage Access, and there are no monthly subscription fees.
