Stratos owns and operates teleport facilities in the U.K., Canada, New Zealand and The Netherlands. We own and operate VSAT hubs in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Russia. We have established a secure, fully redundant facility in Canada, with redundant power systems and terrestrial connectivity, to ensure our customers’ business continuity even in the face of natural and other disasters. Also, our StratosNexus Global Private Network (GPN) provides a single, multi-service global platform that connects customers with any combination of terrestrial, satellite or wireless network services—anywhere to anywhere.
In addition to our own direct sales force, we have more than 400 authorized partners across the globe. Wherever opportunities arise, Stratos has the ability to seize upon them, applying proven models of service delivery and drawing on the scalable capacity of an infrastructure already firmly in place.

Did you know Stratos offers the most extensive portfolio of fixed and mobile satellite and microwave services in the industry today? Our arsenal of more than 50 powerful solutions also includes the most comprehensive and distinctive selection of value-added services available from any provider.
Stratos is now the largest provider of Inmarsat services—including the next-generation BGAN service—in the world. We deliver nearly 50 percent of all Inmarsat services on the globe. Stratos is the only Land Earth Station Operator that reaches every single Inmarsat satellite in orbit.
What's more, we are the largest provider of mobile satellite services in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. That includes being the largest supplier of mobile satellite services to the U.S. government and to the maritime industry. We have established communications to more than 40,000 maritime terminals worldwide.
Through our VSAT hubs in the North America, Europe and Russia, Stratos provides a wide range of VSAT services worldwide—including StratosITek, HughesNet, SCADA-SAT, and DataSat.
In the Gulf of Mexico, Stratos owns and operates the largest and only comprehensive microwave network, and provides the greatest total communication solutions—microwave, satellite and mobile—to the oil and gas industry there.

Strong Vertical Focus
Stratos focuses on a number of vertical markets, as outlined below. Each represents an established yet growing industry with a comprehensive need for remote communications.
Government and Military
Through our work with organizations such as the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard , Canada's Navy and Department of National Defence, the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence, the Australian Defence Force, and the New Zealand Defence Force, Stratos has built a strong name globally in the government and military sectors.
We have also formed a separate, wholly-owned company called Stratos Government Services, Inc. (SGSI) as a consolidated resource for multiple satellite solutions and value-added services to the U.S. government. Through this highly-focused organization, we are forging stronger relationships with federal and state agencies, providing powerful BGAN and VSAT solutions to meet their unique needs.
Oil and Gas
Stratos supplies voice and data communication services to oil and gas exploration and production operations with a need for “extended office” connectivity to remote locations around the world. Utilizing a variety of wireless technologies, we provide full service, integrated, end-to-end voice, data, and video solutions to companies such as Shell, ChevronTexaco, ExxonMobil and BP Exploration.
Maritime
Stratos provides enterprise-quality communication services to blue-water fishing, commercial shipping and cargo fleets, such as Worldwide Shipping, Teekay Shipping, and the Marine Contracting Association Limited.
Aeronautical
Stratos provides air-to-ground/ground-to-air voice and data communications to airlines and private jets for in-flight connectivity around the world. Delivering an array of services for both cockpit and cabin, Stratos has clients including British Airways and Lufthansa.
Media
Stratos is a key supplier to the emerging remote-broadcast sector with customers that include the BBC, CNN, NBC, and Fox News. We also support print and wire service organizations, including Reuters, The New York Times, and the Associated Press.
Mining and Forestry
Stratos equips remote mining and forestry camps with a full range of communication services. Customers include NAMCO, a diamond mining concern off the coast of Africa, and Anglo Gold, which has several sites throughout Africa. Forestry customers include the U.S. Fish and Wildlife agency and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Recreational
Stratos supplies yachts and recreational sea vessels with essential communications equipment. Our equipment and services are also used to supply reliable communications for expeditions as remote as Mount Kilimanjaro and the Congo.
